Mayo manager John O'Mahony has confirmed that Mark Ronaldson will be appealing his four-week ban.

The in-form corner forward has requested a hearing at Croke Park after he was hit with the retrospective suspension arising from an incident in the closing stages of Mayo's win over Tyrone in the National League last weekend.

If the proposed ban is upheld, Ronaldson will miss Mayo's NFL games against Dublin and Derry next month. The hearing is expected to take place later this week. Tweet
