Mayo Championship draws decided

The draws for the 2010 Mayo Senior, Intermediate and Junior Football Championships were held at the TF Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Wednesday night.

Defending champions Charlestown will face Intermediate kingpins Westport as well as Kiltane, Breaffy and newly-amalgamated West Mayo, made up of representatives of Islandeady, Balla, Parke and Louisburgh, in Group 3 of the SFC.

Group 1 sees Crossmolina, Ballintubber, Garrymore and Claremorris go head-to-head, with Moy Davitts, Aghamore, Castlebar and Shrule-Glencorrib paired in Group 2.

Beaten finalists in 2009, Knockmore, will bid to go one better this year from Group 4, which pits them against Ballaghaderreen, Ballinrobe and Ballina.

In the IFC, Junior champions Kiltimagh - who contest the All-Ireland Junior final against Castlegregory of Kerry next week - have been included in Group 1 alongside Beal an Mhuirthead, Bonniconlon, and Mayo Gaels.

Hollymount, Kilcommon, Tuar Mhic Eadaigh and Crossmolina B complete Group 2, Burrishoole, Ballyhaunis, Kilmeena and Swinford will contest Group 3 and Achill, Kilmaine, Killala and Davitts take to the field in Group 4.

The Junior groups are as follows:

Group 1: Lahardane, Castlebar B, Charlestown B, Swinford B
Group 2: Ardnaree, Davitts B, Breaffy B, Ballintubber B and Westport B
Group 3: Islandeady, Balla, Crossmolina C, Lacken and Aghamore B
Group 4: Ballycroy, Knockmore B, Moygownagh, Ballinrobe B and Louisburgh
Group 5: Moy Davitts B, Achill B, Ballina Band Ardagh
Group 6: Kilmovee, Killala, Beal an Muirthead B and Carramore
Group 7: Kilfian, Eastern Gaels, Shrule-Glencorrib S and Parke
Group 8: Claremorris B, Ballycastle, Ballaghaderreen B and The Neale
