Mayo include seven newcomers for league openers

Mayo manager John O'Mahony has named seven newcomers in his panel for the opening National Football League games against Galway and Tyrone over the next ten days.
O'Mahony is forced to experiment with veteran pair James Nallen and David Heaney having announced their retirements, midfielders Pat Harte and Barry Moran ruled out through work commitments and injury respectively, Aidan Kilcoyne also injured and forwards Alan Dillon and Conor Mortimer currently out of the country.
Austin O'Malley and Billy Joe Padden have also been left out of the initial panel as O'Mahony weighs up his options.
Castlebar triumvirate Alan Feeney, Neil Douglas and Ger McDonagh and Lee Keegan, who helped Westport to Intermediate Football Championship success last year, are called up as are Alan Freeman of Aghamore and Garrymore pair Enda Varley and Shane Nally.
