The second round of the 2009 Mayo senior football championship will be played this weekend. Already, after an interesting opening programme of fixtures, some teams are eyeing quarter-final places. All 16 teams are in action again, with the fun starting on Saturday evening, July 4, at 7.30, when three games will be played: Castlebar Mitchels V Aghamore, Knockmore V Ballinrobe and Kiltane V Claremorris. On Sunday at 2pm, Ballina Stephenites face Crossmolina, Burrishoole play Ballaghaderreen and Breaffy are up against Shrule-Glencorrib. And there are two games at 4.30 on Sunday: Garrymore V Charlestown and Ballintubber V Moy Davitts, both of whom won in Round One. Tweet
