Dineen: All the pressure's on Mayo

Former Roscommon star Nigel Dineen is hoping the favourites' mantle will weigh heavily on the shoulders of the Mayo players in tomorrow's Connacht SFC semi-final.
While acknowledging that John O'Mahony's side deserve to be favourites, the Castlerea St. Kevin's clubman insists that Roscommon won't be travelling to Castlebar just to make up the numbers.
"Obviously Mayo are raging hot favourites and, of course, they are because they have a lot more experience in their side," said Dineen, who was a member of the last Roscommon team to lift the Nestor Cup in 2001.
"With Mayo playing in their own home pitch, there's going to be a lot of pressure on them to win because they expect to win. John O'Mahony will be pushing them hard because he might be thinking it could be the final straw for him too.
"Whereas Roscommon are going over hopeful that they could put up a good performance and that you never know what could happen.
"It'll be a real tough task, but if they can stay with Mayo for 70 minutes and give it everything, they'll have their job well done at that stage. Fergal O'Donnell will probably be playing it down, saying "it's a young team and we're rebuilding", which we are, but still he'll be looking to push Mayo to the pin of their collar."
