Carnacon fully prepared

November 20, 2008
Carnacon joint-manager Jimmy Corbett has revealed that he has a full strength squad to choose from for Sunday's VHI Healthcare All-Ireland Senior Ladies football championship final. In a repeat of last year's final, the Mayo and Connacht champions take on Cork counterparts Inch Rovers at O'Connor Park, Tullamore at 2.30pm. Carnacon are defending champions and with a full strength squad to choose from, they will go into the match as favourites, although Corbett is taking nothing for granted. "We are fully fit," declared Corbett. "We probably won easy enough last year, but next Sunday will be a different game completely. In fairness, they were a young enough side when we played them last year. "They have six county players with them, and Mary O'Connor is back with them this year - she was injured for the final. They were saying last year that they might get it hard to come out of Munster this year, but they come out of it easy enough."
