Members of the Mayo senior football squad brought some Christmas cheer around Castlebar yesterday by singing carols in aid of the Society of St. Vincent De Paul.
Along with new manager James Horan, players Lee Keegan, Tom Parsons, Colm Boyle, Donal Vaughan, Andy Moran and Robert Hennelly could all be heard outside of the Elverys Intersport store on Castlebar’s Main Street singing with the choir, Còr Mhaigh Eo.
The event drew a big crowd and is understood to have raised a tidy sum, with Blackie Gavin of Mayo County Council also joining in.
