Aidan O’Shea takes exception to the portrayal of him as a trouble maker.

The Mayo star expects high standards, and he makes no apologies for that, but he insists that any talk of him being a divisive figure couldn’t be further from the truth.

He insists he’s a ‘team player’ and says past managers, including Pat Holmes and Noel Connelly who were forced out of the job by a player revolt, can vouch for that.

“Talk to James (Horan). Talk to Stephen (Rochford) or Pat (Holmes) and Noel (Connelly),” the Breaffy clubman told the Irish Daily Star.

“I’m a very conforming individual in terms of being a team player.

“Maybe it’s the way I’m built, but if I see something we can improve, I’m not going to sit by and say nothing.

“I don’t think you want any one like that anywhere. That’s not divisive. We want to improve things, I’d be like that, and it doesn’t go anywhere beyond that.”
