GAA followers on Twitter have expressed surprise at the number of empty spaces in St. Conleth's Park for this evening's eagerly-anticipated All-Ireland football qualifier between Kildare and Mayo.
One of the terraces was almost empty, despite the CCCC having originally fixed the game for Croke Park based on health and safety concerns about Newbridge.
Health and safety capacities can be maddening.

Kildave v Mayo sold-out, yet one terrace in Newbridge as sparsely populated as the Australian outback.#gaa #Mayogaa #KildareGaa
There are very few people behind one of the goals in Newbridge - Health and Safety my arse!!! #kilvmyo

Health and safety obviously has its place but hard not to feel the tail is wagging the dog when you see the empty spaces at St Conleth's Park this evening. #GAA

If you didn't get a ticket for Kildare v Mayo and you see one terrace half empty you'd be raging #GAA
