James Horan has described Lee Keegan as Mayo's 'lethal weapon'.

The former Footballer of the Year is expected to make his return from shoulder surgery in tomorrow's All-Ireland football qualifier against Limerick and Horan is certain it will give Mayo a massive boost.

"To me, he's been the best player in Ireland over the past five years," the ex-Mayo manager wrote in the Irish Daily Star.

"Lee is a lethal weapon and Mayo are a far better team when he's on the field. He's brave, he's aggressive, he's skilful, he scores, he's a threat driving forward while still being a fantastic defender.

"You won't meet a more open, engaging guy. He creates a buzz around the place. It's a major plus for [Stephen] Rochford to have Lee back. He brings an electricity to the Mayo team."
