Mayo manager Derek Walsh has hinted that dual star Keith Higgins may be sticking with the small ball over the coming weeks.
Higgins was a surprise inclusion in the Mayo side that defeated Donegal in the opening round of the NHL Division 2B campaign last Sunday afternoon.
The talented dual player chipped in with 0-04 and Walsh cautiously suggested that Higgins may be around for a number of their league games.
"Keith is just taking a bit of a break at the minute. He had a very long season with the footballers last year and he's just taking a break. He's with us for the next few weeks until he gets back, that's the situation," Walsh told the Western People.
He added: "Our ambition and our goal is to take it game by game. We have a whole new management team and a lot of new players, so we're taking it game by game. We feel we have a strong enough team this year and you wouldn't know where we'll go."
