Glen Emmets Conor Grimes heads for the Sean McDermotts goal during the Louth JFC semi fnal

Glen Emmets captain Conor Grimes is keeping himself positive ahead of Sunday's county JFC final clash with Oliver Plunketts.

The 2012 champions are underdogs against the town side but county senior star Grimes is hopeful they can cause an upset:

"Plunketts are having a serious season," he notes in The Drogheda Independent. "They were right in contention in Division Two, so we know what we're up against and you're never going to get anything easy in a final.

"They came through the tougher side of the draw, there's no doubt. We were the same in 2012 when we played the Plunketts in the semi-final and it stood to us against Lannleire, but you never know. I know I keep saying that, but it's pot luck.

"You never know what might happen in a championship final or semi-final, it's a completely different ball game.

"We'll be unerdogs but you never know what might happen and there's always so many twists and turns in a final. We're just going to stay positive."
