It's a knockout!

July 24, 2014
The group stage of the SFC hasn't finished yet, but we are already down to knockout football!

There's just one game left in each group and the teams involved will all be playing for their championship futures during two double-headers this weekend.

In Group A, holders Newtown Blues are already through to the quarter-finals, which means that Saturday evening's meeting of O'Raghallaighs and Dundalk Gaels at Castlebellingham is effectively a quarter-final play-off.

In Group C, it's St Mary's who are safely through. Kilkerley and Geraldines meet at The Grove on Saturday to determine who joins them in the last eight.

The same applies in Group B, where St Patricks have won both their games thus far and the two teams they've beaten - Dreadnots and Naomh Mairtin - will battle it out for the remaining quarter-final place at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday night.

The other match in Drogheda on Sunday is Mattock Rangers V O'Connells, both of whom are pointless at present, having lost their clashes with Cooley Kickhams (who are through as group toppers).
