Shane Lennon has urged Louth supporters to get behind the Wee County.

Aidan O'Rourke's charges went through the entire national football league without winning a game but Lennon believes they can still kick on in the championship if people get behind them.

Speaking at The Carrickdale Hotel, as he collected his Louth Supporters Club Player of the Year award, the Kilkerley Emmets attacker said:

"I know it's been a disappointing year so far folks, and no more than for us. But the lads are putting in serious work and we need as much support as we can get.

"We need you to get behind the team and push us for the rest of the championship. Let's finish the rest of the year on a high."
