May 22, 2013Sheelan Cup: O'Connell's 3-12, St. Brides0-11. On Sunday we advanced to the semi-final of the Sheelan Cup with a ten point victory over St. Brides. This was a great win as we are nearly back to full strength with just a few little injury's to iron out and played some great football and the second goal that Robert Quigley got was worth the admission price alone. We are due to play the semi-final next Friday night versus Noamh Mairtin in Grove at 7.45pm with the winners meeting either St. Patricks or St. Marys from the other semi.

Bingo: Bingo will continue in our clubrooms this Wednesday 22nd May at 8.00pm, jackpot €1600 in 48 numbers. All welcome. Golf Classic: O'Connell's golf classic will take place on Saturday 1st June in Killin Park Golf Club. Full 18 hole scramble with tee times available from 9am, player refreshments provided, team meal in clubhouse after your round. That evening in our clubrooms, results and presentations, light refreshments served and live music. Team of four €160, hole sponsorship €80, team and tee special €220. Louth U14: Congratulations to Liam Kiernan who has been selected as the U14 Football Development Squad for Louth in 2013.
Social Dancing: There will be social dancing on Bank Holiday Monday 3rd June in our clubrooms from 9.30pm. Music by Show Bud, admission €10 and refreshments will be served.
Lotto: It is still possible to get prepaid lotto tickets, there are three available they are one for €80 which enters 47draws 7 free, one for €40 enters 23 draws 3 free, and the other for €20 enters 11 draws 1 free. Tickets can be got from any lotto seller.
Clubrooms: Our clubrooms are available for all family occasions, contact any committee member.
Zumba-Fitness: Zumba classes continue every TUESDAY night in our clubrooms with Heather Gordon 087-9835279.
Slimming World: Slimming World continues in our clubrooms every Thursday at 5.30pm and 7.30pm with consultant Kayleigh 087-0615775.
