Louth concern over Finnegan and Donnelly
May 09, 2013

Louth's Brian Donnelly. INPHO
Ray Finnegan and Brian Donnelly are major doubts for Louth's Leinster SFC opener against Laois.
The first-round duel in Portlaoise is now just over a fortnight away and St Patricks talisman Finnegan - one of Louth's most inspirational performers - remains sidelined with a long-term injury and appears to have no chance of featuring against the O'Moore County.
Cooley Kickhams midfielder Donnelly could join him on the absentee's list as he has been struck down by illness for the last few weeks and is also running out of time.
The Wee County are playing a raft of challenge matches to complete their championship preparations and these two key men are falling further behind by the day.
With May 26th looming ever closer, manager Aidan O'Rourke is faced with the daunting prospect of going into the biggest game of the year without two members of his first-choice starting XV.
