Football
(Junior game on Tuesday 1/5/12)
ST FECHINS 2-7
ST MARYS 1-7
On a rather wet surface both sides coped well with the conditions and it was a keenly contested game at Beaulieu on Tuesday.
After an early Fechins point it was the Marys who settled into this game best. They notched up an early lead with a Shane Carroll goal and four points after just ten minutes.
Fechins got more into the game in the second quarter and went into a slender lead towards the end of the half thanks to a goal from Paul King and two points from Karl Mc Donnell leaving their side 1-5 to 1-4 ahead at the break.
When Leo Cunningham put Karl Mc Donnell through for a second goal early in the third quarter they began to take control of this match.
The remainder of this game was end to end with scores at a premium due to the difficult conditions. Fechins held on for a deserved win.

Senior game on Thursday 3/5/12
CLAN NA GAEL 3-12
ST MARYS 0-12
Clan na Gael maintained their place at the top of Division 2 as three goals proved the difference in a well contested game in Dundalk on Thursday night.
The opening two points of the game were shared before Adrian McGlynn got on the end of a quickly-taken free and hit the opening goal.
The Marys continued to show their good form of late and battled back to trail by just 1-5 to 0-7 entering the final seconds of the half.
However, the Clans took a grip of the game when Conall McKeever fired home a superb goal from 20 metres to give his side a four point cushion.
The Ardee men redcued the gap to one with four of the first five points of the second half, but in the final quarter Drew Duffy put the Clans back in the driving seat with his side's third goal.
In the closing stages the Clans dominated and fired over a number of points to seal victory.
Best for St Marys were Paudy Clarke, Dean Matthews and Barry Faulkner.
