Louth 'keeper ruled out for year

Louth hurling goalkeeper Johnny Carter has been KO'd for the remainder of 2012.
Carter suffered a ruptured cruciate ligament during the Wee County's dead rubber national hurling league clash with Tyrone.
He will be replaced by James Connolly as the Wee County open their Nicky Rackard Cup campaign against Armagh in Dowdallshill on Saturday afternoon.
Manager Pat Clancy told The Drogheda Independent: "It's a blow because Johnny had really settled in there this year, but James was there last year and he's a more-than-able deputy.
"Apart from Johnny, we're okay. We met up on Monday after the Tain league finals to assess any potential injuries and thankfully there were none."
