On Friday night, Roche Emmets hosted the game against Ardee St. Marys GFC.

St. Marys went into the game looking promising and has some good performances but in the first eight minutes they were down by four points. However with the help of two Alan Kirk points, they were back level terms at four apiece at 18 minutes.
The Ardee men went on to made it six points in a row, thanks to Paudy Clarke and Dean Matthews,

The first half saw a great save by Peter Duffy, which kept St. Marys just ahead going into half time with the score
St. Marys 0-7 points v Roche 0-6.

Straight after the start of the second half, Roche took the lead again when an all important goal from Thomas Campbell fired into the back of
St. Marys net - leaving this the only goal of the game. Although St Marys went on to score three points, the home side responded with three of their
own to remain in the lead.

Just a few minutes from the end of the match, it was all to play for with Roche 1-10 to St. Marys 0-12, but Roche struck three late points to claim victory.
Barry O'Hare had showed a fine display as he kicked seven points for Roche, while Paul Malone, Robbie Leavy and Barry Faulkner played well for St. Marys.

Ardee St. Marys GFC Juniors v Clan na Gaels
Ardee St. Marys GFC junior team played Clan na Gaels in Pairc Mhuire on Tues evening in Div 4 league. The home side got off to a great start with a penalty within the first 2 mins, which was scored by Brian McCoy. By twenty minutes St. Marys were in a comfortable position with points from Brian and Mark Fay leaving the score at 1-5 to nil. The Clans fought back hard with a goal each from Aidan McCabe and Cormac Woods and a point each from Mark McGeown and Robbie Curran, leaving the half time score St. Marys 1-5 and Clan na Gaels 2-2.
The second half brought both teams out fighting and plenty of points scored, leaving Clan na Gaels 3 points ahead and full time almost up, a goal from Michael Lennon left St. Marys 2-10 v Clans 2-10, it looked like a draw was on the cards, but the Clans managed an exciting finish and scored another point in the last kick of the ball, leaving the final score Ardee St. Marys 2-10 v Clan na Gaels 2-11.
