The Knockbridge Senior hurlers started their 2012 season with a fine win in this 1st round Tain Hurling League match played in Darver on Saturday last. Their first time entering this competition, Knockbridge's opponents were 2011 Down Intermediate champions, Kilclief.

Without mentioning any individual performances, every player from 1-20 gave commanding performances at different stages throughout the game. Knockbridge ran out eventual winners on a commanding scoreline of 5-25 to 2-25.

Knockbridge now play Patricks Sarsfield of Antrim in the 2nd round of the Tain Hurling League at home again next weekend.
