Keenan doubt for league opener

Louth's Paddy Keenan closes in on Meath's Cormac McGuinness during the O'Byrne Cup game at Pairc Tailteann
Louth midfielder Paddy Keenan faces a race against time to be fit for the start of the league.
The Wee County face Westmeath in the division 2 opener on Sunday week and Keenan is a major doubt after he damaged his hamstring during a challenge match against Crossmaglen Rangers last Sunday.
The St Patrick's clubman has had problems with his hamstring in the past and Louth manager Peter Fitzpatrick is hopeful that his inspirational captain will be fit for Sunday week.
"Paddy felt a slight twinge in his hamstring and it was the smart thing to do, coming straight off," Fitzer explained to the Dundalk Democrat.
"He will rest now for a whole week as we don't want him to risk it is we need him for the Westmeath match. He's suffered from these injuries in the past so we have to be careful."
Another major doubt for the entire league campaign is Shane Lennon, who is suffering from a groin injury and looks set to be sidelined for some time.
