Louth transfer requests hit 86

The Louth County board had to deal with 86 transfer requests at last week's meeting.

Despite being known as the Wee County for its geographical size, Louth has had more transfer requests that many of its neighbours, including Meath and Armagh.

Of the 86 requests that were made, a massive 70 of them were approved by the county board and only nine of them refused as the rest were either withdrawn of deferred.

Forty nine of the transfer requests in adult football, while eight were for hurling and the rest in juvenile football.
