Kehoe Cup: Louth taught a lesson

January 23, 2012
St Pat's Drumcondra showed little respect for county opponents Louth as they handed out a 2-14 to 0-10 defeat to Pat Clancy's charges.

St Pat's who would not be known for their hurling poweress were far the better team throughout this contest, even though only a point separated the sides at half time.

Tom Breen scored St Pat's goal in the 19th minute to help them to a 1-6 to 0-8 lead at the interval, but the students stepped up a gear in the second half.

Niall Arthur came into his own and hit 1-4 without reply and then Louth suffered a further blow when Diarmuid Murphy was sent off as St Pat's finished strongly.
