Noresiders withdraw from O'Byrne Cup
January 03, 2012The Noresiders were due to face Louth in the first round at Drogheda on Sunday but the Wee County have instead been handed a bye to the next round, where they will face the winners of Meath or Wexford on January 15th.
The Cats informed Leinster Council of their decision to withdraw from the competition before Christmas.
This will be the first time since 2007 that Kilkenny have failed to field a team for the subsidiary competition, but they still intend to feature in the national football league. Tweet
