Peter Fitzpatrick has called up Christy Grimes and Sean Connor for Monday's All-Ireland JFC semi-final against Sligo.

The two former intercounty seniors will bolster the Wee County side as they compete in a second successive semi-final at this level, having put Leinster titles back-to-back.

The match against the Yeats men takes place at Breffni Park in Cavan at 3:30pm on August Bank Holiday Monday. Manager Fitzer confirms:

"I'm taking Christy Grimes and Sean Connor into the squad. They will bring a bit of experience to the team and that is what I am hoping for. We have a lot of young players there.

"I wouldn't mind a bit of experience there because I have a feeling that Sligo will have a lot of experience in their side.

"You saw the difference that Mark Stanfield and Colin Goss made in the last game - they can help the juniors." Tweet
