Croker to stage football and hurling double-headers

Croke Park will host an All-Ireland football qualifier Round 4 double-header next Saturday.

The all-Leinster clash between Dublin and Louth at 5pm will be preceded by the meeting of Kildare and Monaghan at 3pm. RTE will televise the Kildare v Monaghan clash, while TV3 will screen the Dublin v Louth fixture.

RTE will also televise the Limerick v Cork qualifier which will throw in at 7pm in the Gaelic Grounds after Limerick won the toss for home venue. The other fourth round qualifier between Sligo and Down will also get underway at 7pm in Kingspan Breffni Park.

On Sunday, the attention switches to the two All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals which have been both fixed for Croke Park. Cork will play Antrim at 2pm, followed by the meeting of Galway and Tipperary at 4pm. Both games will be shown live on RTE.

The two ESB All-Ireland minor hurling quarter-finals will also take place on Sunday with Waterford facing Galway in Pairc Ui Chaoimh and Antrim taking on Dublin in Newry. Both games start at 12 noon.

Extra-time will be played in all games if necessary.
