Cormac Malone says skin and hair will fly in the IFC's all-Dundalk 'Group of Death'.

Town giants Na Piarsaigh, Clan na Gael and Sean O'Mahonys have all been pitted in the three-team group, with only two of them set to progress to the last eight.

In recent seasons, Na Piarsaigh have been desperately unlucky not to clinch promotion to senior football for the first time in their history and their attacking ace Malone knows they face a searching examination in the group stage this year:

"It is a tough group - the Group of Death as it has been labelled - but last year showed that the difference between intermediate and senior can come down to a kick of a ball.

"That day, it did not go right for us, but I'm sure we will be knocking at the door again.

"The new format is great and I am sure that there will be skin and hair flying at all the games in our group." Tweet
