Louth's Brian White
Louth midfielder Brian White is stressing the importance of this weekend's clash with Cavan.

The Wee County have two points from two outings thus far in Division Three of the national football league and Sunday's game could be a pivotal moment in their season.

The Cooley Kickhams clubman notes: "If we lose, we are into a relegation dogfight and, if we win, we are in with a shout for promotion, which is where we want to be.

"We want to be up in Division Two with all the big teams. The main aim has always been the league.

"We had a bit of a poor run last year with three or four defeats in a row. We don't want to fall into the same kind of rut again.

"We had a good start last year too and then kind of fell behind in the league - we don't want that to happen again. If we get a good win against Cavan, we can hopefully build on that and move on."
