Carr back in Blues fold
October 30, 2008
Jamie Carr has returned to the Newtown Blues fold in time for the Louth champions' entry into the Leinster club championship.
The county defender had been in exile since his failed transfer to Dublin club St Sylvester's and missed out on the Newfoundwell men's entire SFC-winning campaign.
However, he returned for the final 15 minutes of last weekend's Cardinal O'Donnell Cup final defeat to Cooley Kickhams and is almost certain to feature in the provincial opener against either Kilmacud Crokes or Celbridge.
On the negative side, the Blues will be without Colm Judge, who injured his shoulder while training with Leinster for the interprovincial competition.
