A late second half goal from Conor Matthews sealed a 1-13 to 0-8 victory for Hunterstown Rovers at home to Oliver Plunketts in Division 2.

The home side always had the slight edge in this game but their lead at the break was just 0-7 to 0-4 as Oliver Plunketts fought hard to keep in touch. Glen Matthews, Ryan Burns and Ryan Ward were among the scorers for the home side.

Alan Landy added to the tally early in the second half but the Plunketts kept their hopes alive with the help of scores from Trevor Walsh and Cian Brady. However, it wasn't enough to take anything from the game and Matthews struck late to seal the win.

Ten points from Declan Byrne and a goal from Gerry Garland helped St Mochtas hold out for a 1-13 to 0-13 win away to Roche Emmets.

The Louth Village men dominated the opening half and Garland struck the only goal of the game to see his side lead by 1-8 to 0-3.

Once again it was Barry O'Hare and Kevin Callaghan who led the Roche revival in the second half but the Mochtas did enough to maintain their advantage as they claimed a second win of the season and leave Roche searching for their first point.

Tadgh McEneaney and Shane Lennon accounted for all of Kilkerley's scores as the Emmets defeated St Josephs by 0-14 to 1-9 and in the process record their first win of the season.

McEneaney finished with an impressive tally of nine points, six of which came in the second half after Alan Quigley and Peter Brennan had helped the Joes to lead by 0-5 to 0-4 at the break.

Kilkerley eased into a 0-13 to 0-7 lead in the second half but had to survive a Joes revival as the David Kieran found the net for the visitors. However, a late score from Shane Lennon settled the issue in favour of the Emmets.

O'Connells picked up their first points of the Division 2 campaign when they defeated Glyde Rangers by 1-10 to 0-7 at The Grove.

Dean Stanfield got the scoring underway for the home side and a well-taken goal from Sean Cairns saw the hosts lead by 1-5 to 0-2 at half time.

With the help of points from Niall Sharkey, Trevor O'Brien and Dion Conlon the Tallanstown side got back to within two points. However, the O'Connells finished on top and scores from Robert Quigley, Conor Kiernan and Conor McGill saw them complete the win.

Nh Fionnbarra picked up an important win when they hit back in the second half to defeat Glen Emmets by 3-9 to 2-8 at Ballygassan.

The Tullyallen side had the benefit of the wind in the first period and a goal from Conor Grimes helped them take a 1-5 to 0-3 lead into the interval.

However, the Barrs turned the game on its head in the second half as goals from Jack Butterly, Williams Woods and a Bernard Osborne penalty saw them take control.

Stephen Healy pulled a goal back for the Emmets but it was too late to save the game.

Meanwhile, O Raghallaighs staged an impressive comeback to record a 2-12 to 2-10 win at home to St Fechins.

Goals from Ronan Holcroft and Niall Devlin had the Fechins in a good position but Alan Doyle responded with one for the O Raghallaighs to cut the gap to 2-7 to 1-3 at half time.

The second period saw the O Raghallaighs dominate and a Ben Rogan goal helped them take the lead before they held out for victory after a tense finish.
