The Hague GAA club would like to extend an invitation to all Ladies Gaelic football teams to their third annual European Invitational Gaelic Football Tournament!

Ballymahon club notes
The first Club meeting of 2009 will take place this Saturday 10th January at 7.00pm in the Clubhouse. Our Annual General Meeting was held last Saturday night in the Clubhouse at Leo Casey Park.

Kenagh GAA Club Notes
The AGM was held in the community center on Sunday 28th December.

Football Roundup
It was a busy day on the football front across the country with a total of 17 games as the new experimental disciplinary rules kept teams on their toes in the O’Byrne Cup, McKenna Cup, McGrath Cup and FBD League.

Keenan predicts upswing in fortunes
A year which started brightly turned out to be a major disappointment for Longford who struggled in the National League and also failed to register a win in the championship. Needless to say, team captain Liam Keenan is hoping 2009 will prove to be more successful for the midlanders.

Colmcille GFC Notes
Over 2000 Euro was raised last Thursday when the 1994 County Final Selection took on the 2008 Selection.

Eugene McNaboe is heading off to South Africa to be part of The Niall Mellon Township Trust which provides homes to the impoverished communities in the townships, as part of his fundraising he organised a game between the 1999 Dromard Championship winning Team and the 2007 Championship team.
