Brady hails manager's influence

St Columba's, Mullinalaghta's Rian Brady has Paul Sharry of St Loman's for company during the Leinster Club SFC quarter final at Pearse Park Longford

County final man of the match Rian Brady has paid tribute to manager Mickey Graham following their latest Longford SFC success.

Brady fired over four points as Mullinalaghta St Columba's defeated neighbours Abbeylara in last Sunday's county decider to claim their second successive title at that level.

Graham has oversaw both those wins and Brady told the Longford Leader that the Cavan native has made a massive impact on them since his arrival.

"He is absolutely fantastic," said Brady. "He just fitted like a glove when he came in. We had managers there before that brought us so far but he was just the man to bring us that extra yard to get over the line.

"Mickey has made a major impact with his shrewd skills as a manager and instilled a lot of confidence into the squad in the belief that success could be achieved."
