Sheedy has "no issue" with venue change

Longford manager Jack Sheedy

Jack Sheedy says he has no issue with the fact that Longford's Qualifier against Kildare has been switched to Mullingar.

The midlanders were supposed to have home advantage for Saturday's all-Leinster Round 3A clash between the two sides vanquished by Dublin. However, Pearse Park has been ruled unfit to stage such a big match due to its limited capacity.

"It would be preferable to be playing in front of a big crowd in Longford but any of the Longford people who have been supporting us will all go to Mullingar because it is only down the road," the former Dublin midfielder told The Irish Independent.

"It is essentially a home game for us all the same so there is no issues for us whatsoever. You have got to go out and perform - all that sort of thing is only peripheral stuff attached to the game. It is not going to affect how we play."
