Sean Connolly's manager Colin Dalton admits that they will have to be at their best to win Sunday's intermediate football championship final.

Carrickedmond are raging hot favourites to win the title, having been defeated in last year's decider after a replay.

Dalton stressed to the Longford Leader that nothing but a good performance will be good enough to give his charges a shot at winning the title.

"Carrickedmond are hot favourites. We need to improve our performance and have to bring extra to the game if we are to beat them," stated Dalton.

"They are a great team and we know it's going to be a massive battle. We are looking forward to it and hopefully we'll give a good account of ourselves; that's what I want."
