The meeting of holders Longford Slashers and Killoe is the pick of the Connolly Cup quarter-finals.

In last night's draw, Colmcille were paired with Dromard, Clonguish will face Abbeylara, while Granard, St. Mary's will take on Mullinalaghta. The semi-final draw was also made and is as follows: Colmcille or Dromard v Longford Slashers or Killoe and Clonguish or Abbeylara v Granard, St. Mary's or Mullinalaghta.

Abbeylara booked their place in the last eight with a 1-12 to 1-10 victory over Fr Manning Gaels on Thursday night, while Ronan McEntire, Cian Mimnagh and Bernard Sheridan found the net for Dromard in their 3-22 to 2-13 defeat of Ballymahon in Granard on Saturday.

In the last game of the weekend last night, Granard, St. Mary's came from five points down with two minutes of normal time remaining to pip Mostrim on a 1-8 to 0-10 scoreline. Paul Smyth kicked the winning point after Derek Sheridan's goal had brought them level. Tweet
