Minor boss in "positive frame of mind"

May 17, 2012

Martin Mulleady has been replaced by Gareth Johnston as Longford manager.
Longford minor football boss Martin Mulleady isn't shying away from the challenge of facing Dublin.

The midlanders travel to Parnell Park on Saturday to meet the young Dubs in their Leinster MFC quarter-final and Mulleady tells The Longford Leader:

"We will be going there in a positive frame of mind. At the end of the day it is a game of football - minor football.

"There is no big deal about any team at minor level. Look at Tipperary who went to Croke Park and beat Dublin in last year's All-Ireland final.

"We are looking forward to the game and hopefully things go well.

"We didn't play them this year [in the Leinster minor league] so that might be all the better for us. But we know they are going to be hard beaten.

"Dublin won the Leinster minor league this year, beating Meath in the final. They are going to be strong and well-drilled by Dessie Farrell."
