Longford manager Glenn Ryan is full of praise for his all-conquering team.

After watching his players defeat Wexford to land the NFL Division Three title at Croke Park on Saturday, the midlanders' boss told The Longford Leader:

"It's a great achievement considering where these fellas have been and how hard they've had to work to get to where they are now.

"I'm delighted for them as a group of players who have worked very hard. It's brilliant. I'm very proud and delighted for them.

"It's a great reward for them. That's the level that we are at. That's what we set our stall out for at the start of the year - to win Division Three and prepare as best we can for Laois." Tweet
