Longford minors will be hoping to build on the performance against Meath as they prepare to face Laois in the Leinster championship qualifier at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park next Wednesday, May 2nd.

The Midlanders ran the Royals very close last time out and they can take great heart from that performance and with manager Martin Mulleady back on the line following a two-week suspension, they will be confident of winning this one.

Laois were defeated by Wicklow in their opening round, which was something of a surprise and they will not relish a trip to Pearse Park.

However, the teams have met already this year in the Leinster league and the game finished a draw. Tweet
