Longford 3-11
Offaly 3-7

Longford collected the Leinster Under 16 ladies Leinster C title on Saturday when they overcame a stiff challenge from Offaly at Rathconrath, Co Westmeath.

After going up 0-2 to nothing in the early stages, Longford were stunned when their opponents fired a quick 1-2 by them to storm into the lead.

Longford recovered well though and through Elaine Reilly's goal they sprung to life, as they rattled off points and then goaled again when Michelle Farrell found the Offaly net for a 2-8 to 1-6 half-time lead.

Aisling Guinan banged in the game's fourth goal to leave just two points between the teams and the game was level with six minutes left after Mary Kelly raised the green flag once more.

An Elaine Lowry free gave the Faithful women the lead, before Longford finished with a flourish as Aoife Darcy started and finished a move to the net and the insurance point was grabbed in injury-time.
