Dromard
On Wednesday last we played Clonguish in the Division 3 league in Pairc na Gael. We played with the aid of the breeze in the first half and got a couple of early goals that got us off to a good start. We held a 2-6 to 0-1 lead at half time. The game ended on the scoreline of Dromard 3-14 to Clonguish 0-3. Team and scorers; Gavin McNerney, Enda Kiernan, Eugene McNaboe, Conor Duffy, Peadar Faughnan, Padraic Martin, James Mimnagh (0-1), Donal Sheridan (0-1), Peter Mc Entire (0-2), Kieran McStay, Adrian Maguire, Emmet Masterson (0-2), Alan McLoughlin (0-1), Ronan McEntire (2-3) 1 free, Mícheál Reilly (1-4). Subs used; John McNaboe, Ronan Duffy, Martin McGee and Gary Maguire. Senior championship commences on Sunday next when we take on Rathcline in Allen Park at 3.45pm. Hard luck to Longford seniors who lost to Down on Saturday last ending their championship for 2010. Again we acknowledge the commitment and dedication of Damien, Diarmuid, Francis, James and Cian have given to their county set up during this past year. Well done to county minors on a terrific performance in winning a second Leinster title in eight years on Sunday last. Well done to our own Declan Mimnagh who played his part in this win. Sincere condolences to the Cosgrove family Berrinagh and the Faughnan family Corglass on their recent bereavements. Lotto results for Monday night 5th July 2010. The numbers drawn were 1, 3, 13 and 25. There was no jackpot winner. The winners of the draw were Rose Smith, Brenda Smith, Bridie McCabe and Avril O'Grady. The seller's prize was won by Geraldine Bleakley.

Well done to the county minors who captured their second Leinster title in eight years with an impressive win over Offaly. Well done to Declan Mimnagh who played his part in this win. Hard luck to Longford seniors who bowed out of the championship when going under to Down on Saturday last in Newry. Our under 8's had a very enjoyable day in Croke Park on Tuesday last with the children getting the opportunity to play on this famous pitch. On Thursday our under 12's played Wolfe Tones in a blitz in Pairc na Gael. Our players on duty were Cian Grey, Darragh O'Toole, Jason Murtagh, Laura Doherty, Dylan McCormack, Luke Mc Entire, Martin McStay, Joseph Hagan, Niall Grey, Gabriel Grey, Oisín Hourican and Cáit Murphy. Our under 14's are away to Longford Slashers on Tuesday. On Thursday our minors play their opening league at home to St James.
