No pursuit from Longford

Longford manager Glen Ryan has words with referee Sean Carroll after the Longford Limerick NFL clash at Pearse Park
The Longford county board have decided not to pursue their bid to have the result of their NFL Division Four defeat to Limerick last month overturned.

Longford were furious after being denied a win against the Shannnonsiders when they had a late goal disallowed by Westmeath referee Seamus Carroll, who had blown for full-time moments beforehand, as the new experimental rules state that the game can't be brought to an end until the ball goes dead.

Their attempt to have the result overturned last week was not entertained by the Central Hearing Committee, therefore Longford have taken the decision to go no further with the appeal.
