Hurlers welcome Cavan this Sunday
February 25, 2010After having their opening fixture against South Down postponed last weekend due to the heavy snowfall, Longford will now start their campaign against their neighbours, who defeated Leitrim comprehensively last Sunday at Kingspan Breffni Park.
Longford will need to be wary of Breffni duo Kevin Downes and Bernard Gaffney, who combined for 0-15 between them in the win over Leitrim and if they can contain them they should fancy their chances of getting two early points on the board.
The two sides meet this Sunday, February 28, in round two of the NHL Division Four at the Longford town venue, where throw-in is at 2.30pm. Tweet
