Ladies trounce Kilkenny

Longford Ladies registered their first win in the group stages of this year's All-Ireland Intermediate Football Championship by handing Kilkenny a devastating 3-21 to 0-3 defeat last Sunday in Killoe.
In a one-sided affair, the hosts dominated from start to finish and showed signs of improvement from their draw with neighbours Roscommon the previous week.
Next up for Longford is a trip to Waterford on Sunday week, July 12, followed by a hosting of Westmeath on the 26th, where they will be looking for wins in order to advance to the semi-finals.
