BALLYMAHON We held a very successful Annual Race Night in Cooney,Äôs Hotel last Friday night. Full details of all the winners next week, but our sincere thanks to everyone who supported the night in any way. Thanks to Cooney,Äôs Hotel for hosting the night and providing the food, to Michael and Arthur Conlon for their expertise in the set-up, and to Eamon Reilly for doing an excellent job as MC on the night. Our AGM will now be held in the Clubhouse on Saturday 3rd January 2009 at 7.00pm. All members should be receiving their nomination and motion forms shortly. Hopefully it will be well attended by all members and people are reminded that there is the place to voice your opinions, and perhaps may consider taking a more active role in the running of the club, as new faces are always welcome. There was no winner of last weeks draw in Murray,Äôs worth ,Ǩ2900. Last Mondays draw was held in The Pigeons with the Jackpot worth ,Ǩ3000, and the Promoters Prize standing at ,Ǩ300. Tickets are on sale from the usual outlets and cost ,Ǩ2. Special tickets costing ,Ǩ20 are available from any member of the executive and entitle the buyer to be automatically entered into the Draw with the same set of numbers for 12 consecutive weeks, with two weeks free. If anyone has training gear or equipment belonging to the Club, please return it to Paul Kelly or Willie Forbes ASAP, as an inventory of all Club equipment is being compiled.
