Gacquin/Hagan accept new posts

Jimmy Gacquin and Sean Hagan have been appointed managers of Longford Slashers and Abbeylara respectively.
St Mel's teacher Gacquin succeeds John Murphy as manager of the Sky Blues. The new boss is a native of Roscommon and steered Longford to Leinster MFC glory in 2002. At club level, he led Killoe to a Leader Cup/Division One double in 2005.
Sean Hagan, who takes over from Mickey Harkins at the Abbeylara helm, comes with an equally-impressive cv. He has already tasted SFC success with Kiltubrid in Leitrim and Dromard in Longford.
