Dromard Ladies Club Notes

Apology: For no Ladies Notes appearing lately due to our PRO taking a well deserved holiday.

Fuel Draw and Ladies AGM: Our AGM was held on Friday last during the first snow and ice of the year, which probably accounted for the low turnout. We nevertheless managed to fill our committee positions and we are grateful not only to those of you who made the effort to attend, but also to those who accepted positions in order to drive our club forward in 2018. Thank you all. For those parents unable to be there, can you contact Bernie to make arrangements to pick up your quota of Fuel Draw tickets for sale to your friends and relatives. As you know this is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we ask everybody to do their bit to provide funds to meet our early season bills for registration levies, competition fees etc. Tickets are also available to buy in our 3 local shops, Corrigan's Service Station, Gortermone Stores and Moyne Stores and we thank these local businesses for allowing us use those outlets. Once again there are 6 prizes valued at €1250 in total and sponsored by Corrigan Fuels, McNerney Turf Supplies, Gortermone Stores, Moyne Stores, Norman Hall Transport and the Reynolds Family and we greatly appreciate their help every year.

Happy Events: Following on from the birth of a baby son to Gloria Kavanagh, our Treasurer and ex-player, closely followed by another bouncing baby boy to Elaine Sheridan and Francis Murphy, our Senior Panel Managers, we have great delight in announcing yet another birth. This time a baby girl to Laura and Niall Brady, Annagh. With all the work and time Laura has invested over the years as player, trainer, manager etc in Dromard Ladies, there was surely never any doubt that she would produce a girl! And finally, to Imelda Reynolds, player, trainer and Secretary on her engagement to Brian. We congratulate all of you on your Good News and hope you will be happy in your lives going forward.

Birthdays: To 4 of our Ladies players: Evelyn Kiernan who is 8, Orfhlaith Mulligan who is 14 and from our Senior Panel our Captain Doireann Mimnagh, who also doubles as Registrar, and Player Chloe Connell. Happy birthday to all.
