Former Longford senior footballer Liam Keenan has been appointed manager of the county's under-20 side for 2018.
The newly formed age group will see a new format introduced as a round robin series sees the Midlanders in the same group as Dublin, Westmeath and Wexford.
Keenan retired from the inter-county scene due to injury in 2008, but has since worked his way up the management ladder including a spell as selector with the Longford senior footballers.
Now, he has the opportunity to guide the side as far as he can in the Leinster championship and there are high hopes for the current crop of under-20s.
