Pallaskenry GAA Club Notes

August 19, 2008
JUNIOR B HURLING SEMI FINAL THIS SUNDAY We had a quiet week last week with a number of games postponed but this weekend sees our Junior Hurlers return to action with a City Semi Final against Patrickswell on Sunday @ 12 noon. Having disposed of Patrickswell at the same stage last year with a last minute goal from Kenny Rogers another close contest is expected so all support would be much appreciated. Check the club website for details @ www.pallaskenrygaa.com. VHI/GAA SUMMER CAMP We held our annual Hurling & Football VHI/GAA Summer Camp last week and despite numbers being down on last year it was a good success. The weather held up for the most part with the field in good condition thanks to the continued good work of the Field Committee. The coaches led by Brian Kelly (Mungret) were very impressed with the participants, level of skill & behaviour and look forward to returning next year. Thanks also to the Bord Na nOg committee who supervised the children and made sure everything ran smoothly. Training resumes on Tuesday evenings for U8s & U10s and the U12s have a county football semi final next Wednesday, August 28th, against Fr. Caseys in Ballyagran @ 8pm. LOTTO RESULTS - JACKPOT REACHES .17,000 Numbers drawn in the Lotto on the 13/08/08 were: 2, 12, 16 and 19. There was no overall winner of the .16,800 jackpot. KILLULTA GAELS Both our minor hurling match with Cappamore and U16 County Football Semi Final against St. Kierans due to be played last weekend were postponed due to bereavements.
