After an entertaining game we won by two points 0-12 to 0-10 to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition. We got off to a dream start and were five points to no score up midway through the half before Galbally opened their account. Our points came from Patrick Mullins with 0-04 and Eoin Hanrahan with a great point from play. Galbally then dominated the next ten minutes and they kicked four unanswered points before Patrick Mullins had the last score of the half when he converted a close in free to leave us ahead by 0-06 to 0-04 at the break.
Galbally had the first score of the second half to leave 1 point between the sides we responded in great style and kicked four unanswered points three from Patrick Mullins and another from Eoin Hanrahan to leave us 0-10 to 0-05 ahead with ten minutes to go. Galbally began to dominate and reduced the gap to three points Patrick Mullins converted a close in free after great work by Niall Phelan to put us four points ahead.
Galbally kicked three points on the trot to leave just a point between the sides with time up. The last piece of action was a superb line ball from our young star Eoin Hanrahan that he converted from 30 metres out. Shortly afterwards the final whistle blew to the delight of our team and supporters. After the disappointment of last season our side have now reached the knock out stages, which will be finalised next weekend.
