In the P.J. Matthews East U21 hurling championship, Ahane played Naomh Ailbe (Combination Kilteely/Dromkeen/Ballybricken). The sides were level at half-time at 5 pts each, Ahane scores coming from Robert Kelly, Padraig O'Connor & Paul O'Connor.
It was tit-for-tat scoring in the second half and whilst Ahane were the better team, N. Ailbe won by the narrowest of margins 1-11 to 1-10. This championship is played on a league basis and Ahane have yet to play Doon and Murroe/Boher. In the County Minor Premier Championship, Ahane met Pallasgreen in a crucial game. At half-time, Ahane led by one point, 7 to 6, but in the second half proved too strong for Pallasgreen and won on a scoreline of 1-13 to 1-10.

Ahane Junior hurlers will play Kilteely/Dromkeen in the East semi-final on Friday at 7.00 p.m. in Caherconlish.
Ahane will play Doon in the East Under 14A hurling final on Sunday next. Time & venue to be announced later. Support appreciated for both games.
